Cheap Ferry to France
If you are looking for a cheap ferry to France from England the cheapest routes are the two shortest ones, Dover to Dunkirk and Dover to Calais. There are of course other routes such as Newhaven to Dieppe and Portsmouth to Le Havre, but because these routes are much longer they are more expensive. To get a real cheap ferry to France you need to be looking at Dover to either Dunkirk or Calais.
At the time of writing DFDS Seaways are matching their fares on the Dover-Calais route with the fares on the older Dover-Dunkirk route. So with either route you won’t find a cheap ferry to France anywhere else.
DFDS Seaways are now the fastest growing ferry operator across the channel. So, for channel crossings there’s no better way than with DFDS ferries.
In July 2010 Norfolkline became part of DFDS Seaways, which has proved to be a massive success. By combining the new DFDS routes and reputation with Norfolkline’s outstanding commitment to service and value, passengers can enjoy an outstanding cruise experience on an unrivalled choice of routes from a single operator.
Back in February 2012 DFDS were delighted to announce the launch of a new Dover-Calais ferry service as part of a joint initiative between DFDS Seaways and LD Lines.
Together with our thriving Dover-Dunkirk operation DFDS are now able to offer an unrivalled choice of ferry routes to France.
